Laparoscopic Colorectal Training

The Department of Health in England along with the Cancer Action Team have established a network of laparoscopic training centres to deliver laparoscopic colorectal training for consultant surgeons. The ICENI centre has been selected as part of a consortium which includes MATTU in Guildford and St. Mark's Hospital in London. The National Co-ordinating office has recently relocated from Hull to Plymouth and is run by the national Clinical Lead, Mr. Mark Coleman. The ICENI Centre is currently overseeing laparoscopic training in Bury St. Edmunds, South Manchester, Romford and Bedford. Preceptorship in England has been withdrawn but is still available from the ICENI centre for international training and development.
