Deborah Gooch
Laparoscopic Nurse Practitioner

Debbie Gooch is an Upper GI Laparoscopic Nurse Practitioner. Debbie qualified from St Bartholomew's Hospital London in 1985; working in ENT and theatres at Hackney Hospital before joining the staff at Colchester General. She has worked as a Sister in theatres and the taken a keen interest in the Day Surgery Unit at Colchester Hospital. She completed an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice prior to taking up her present role.

Debbie Gooch is now an integral part of the laparoscopic team working with patients to facilitate their journey as well as taking an active part in teaching and training. She has implemented service change in the elective care centre and helped increase day of surgery admissions and short stay unit activity.
